Velo-One Cycling Code of Conduct

As a Velo-One Cycling member, I promise to:

A) Practice good sportsmanship and conduct myself in a professional manner at all cycling and non-cycling events where I am representing Velo-One Cycling. “Representing the Club” is defined as any time you are wearing club clothing or at any event where you are registered as a Velo-One Club team member, regardless whether you are wearing club clothing or not, while you are at the event venue or on the course. Unacceptable behavior includes but is not limited to:

     1. Physical abuse to any other person while riding or at a club activity.

     2. Use of foul language towards any person.

     3. Making obscene gestures directed at any other person.

     4. Malicious actions on the bike toward any person.

B) Wear my sponsors’ and team’s clothing proudly.

As valuable advertising “vehicles” for their sponsors, Velo-One Cycling

members are expected to wear the club clothing whenever possible in

training rides, group rides and races.

C) Obey all traffic regulations and laws as enforced by all relevant local and

State authorities while on individual or group rides or as instructed

    during sanctioned races.

Velo-One members must be conscious of their role as ambassadors to the

cycling and non-cycling communities. Failure to abide by traffic laws, if

observed by the public, can be extremely detrimental to the club, its

    sponsors and the cycling community.

All members demonstrating a manifest unwillingness to meet these Codes of Conduct will be subject to suspension or membership revocation from Velo-One Cycling.
